Can you identify with this? I certainly can. Even Paul said, “To will is present with me.” Romans 7:18. His spirit was willing. “but how to perform that which is good I find not.” The flesh was weak. This was Paul’s condition and it is our condition. What is the solution? WATCH AND PRAY. 1. Watch. To watch means to be alert and wakeful as if you were walking through a minefield, (which the world certainly is). 2. Pray. I am struck with how often our Savior went off to be alone and to talk to the Father. You can only be a joyous and victorious Christian if you spend time with Jesus, subdue the flesh, and walk in obedience. In other words…….Watch and Pray.
